Porcelain Veneers

Not just a cosmetic treatment, veneers are one of the dental procedures that can create a picture-perfect smile while also correcting some types of damage to the structure of the teeth, in just a few visits to the dentist. Veneers are thin shells of tooth-colored porcelain which are bonded to the fronts of the teeth. This procedure covers cosmetic flaws and damaged areas, creating natural-looking teeth that radiate health and beauty. Veneers can turn crooked, “not so perfect” teeth into stunning, flawless smiles!

Invisalign: Straight Teeth WITHOUT Braces?
invisalignIt’s true! With Invisalign, it is possible to have straight teeth in as little as 9-18 months. The clear, removable, custom-made aligners are designed to be worn in a prescribed sequence, changing to a new aligner every two weeks. No metal or wires means a dramatically reduced amount of time spent on treatment, as there is no need to come in to have an adjustment with this very popular dental service.

They’re practically INVISIBLE!
No one will know you’re straightening your teeth until they see the results of this nearly invisible system. Another benefit of Invisalign is the ease of removal, meaning you can eat, drink, brush and floss normally while you’re undergoing treatment.

Dental Implants

Our dentists offer permanent implant restoration. Dental implants are one of the most popular dental services that patients choose for replacing missing teeth.

Implants can help with:
• replacing single or multiple missing teeth
• replace an outdated bridge
• stabilizing or eliminating a full or partial removable denture

CEREC – Computer Assisted Restoration

cerec_3d

We’re happy to announce that we can now provide our patients with the dental services of custom design and creation of full or partial dental crowns in-office. Crowns, inlays and onlays are used to repair broken teeth, replace old fillings, or to seal over a root canal.

We can now make crowns in ONE DAY!
New technology made available to dentists using the CEREC 3D CAD, software assisted imaging and milling system, now enables us to accomplish, in only minutes, what used to require several visits.

Before the CEREC system, crown restorations took about two weeks to finish. An impression of your teeth would be sent to a dental lab where the crown would be made — a temporary restoration would be placed on the tooth until it came back.

Now, with CEREC, our dentists simply make an optical impression of the patient’s teeth, then the computer software feeds the information into a milling unit and produces the porcelain crown. The whole process only takes a single appointment. If you’d like to learn more about this amazing device, visit the CEREC Crowns page.

Air Abrasion – No Drills – No Needles
diagnodent

Our doctors can now treat early developing cavities without drills or anesthesia. Using the Diagnodent technology, cavities in their earliest stages can be easily detected by a laser beam, then treated without having to remove very much of the natural tooth’s structure.

Treatment consists of using a small but powerful stream of air to remove any decayed areas. Early detection, together with this revolutionary method known as air abrasion, can help keep your teeth strong and healthy for many years to come.

Suffering From Migraine Headaches?
Dental Services in Newington

NTI Appliance

If you’re one of the tens of millions of Americans who suffer from migraine or tension headaches, we can offer a new and effective treatment to reduce, and in some cases, eliminate migraines.

This FDA approved device is a simple, small appliance that’s worn on your front teeth while you sleep. It works by helping reduce the clenching of jaw muscles.

Many migraine sufferers who experience headaches soon after waking show significant signs of nocturnal jaw clenching. As muscles strengthen and enlarge from this habitual exercise, headaches will intensify and symptoms worsen.

Let us help provide the headache relief you have been seeking. Our dentists can fabricate a custom-fitted removable device for the patient in just a single visit. More detailed information is available from: “headache prevention.”

Tooth-Colored, Mercury-Free Fillings

Thanks to science, patients today have alternatives when it comes to dental procedures. Modern advances in dental technology and materials have paved the way for stronger, more attractive and safer options.

Now, instead of the older, amalgam type fillings (50% mercury), which can also appear dark and unsightly, our dentists employ a combination of composite fillings and bonding to give you a natural-looking smile.

Our decision to offer mercury-free dentistry was born out of careful research into the inherent dangers of mercury toxicity, common sense, and our commitment to the overall health and safety of our patients.

Deep BleachingTM

One of the dental treatments that our practice now provides is a vastly improved smile-whitening technique, one that is more effective than any teeth bleaching system we’ve previously offered. If you’ve had persistent problems with stains that were difficult to remove, this just might be the method for you.

This new Deep BleachingTM method requires that you schedule two in-office whitening sessions. The first visit is a “bleaching conditioning visit”, after which you will then wear special bleaching trays at home during sleep for several nights between the two sessions. After your second office visit you will have considerably whiter teeth.

No hassle, no incidental swallowing of bleach, only the enjoyable results of perfectly white teeth from a professional whitening system that really works.

Periolase – Laser Dentistry

periolase

LANAP® (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure) is a patented procedure that’s used with the PerioLase© dental laser system for the treatment of periodontal (gum) disease. It’s the only FDA approved laser treatment for gum disease. The actual treatment is done with much less cut-n-sew surgery than other gum treatments, sometimes avoiding it altogether. The results are impressive and there’s little pain or discomfort.

A tiny laser fiber (approximately the diameter of three human hairs) is inserted between the tooth and the gum, and painlessly removes bacteria that can cause infection. This is a great way to ensure healthier gums and teeth for life — and it’s pain-free. If you’re concerned about being told that you need conventional gum surgery, our non-surgical laser therapy dental services might be just the right alternative for you.

Snoring Relief
klearway_appliance

Did you know that we can effectively treat snoring without surgery? We offer Klearway®, a mouth-guard dental appliance that’s worn while you are sleeping.
The appliance is worn in the mouth and helps to maintain a clear airway passage throughout the night. The goal is to immediately prevent and stop problem snoring.

Microscopic Surgery

We use precision microscopes in our dentistry to examine teeth and perform intricate oral procedures at the microscopic level. At high magnification, we’re able to see the smallest details during procedures that would normally be impossible to visualize with just the naked eye. With microscopes and special caries detector dyes, only decay is removed and more invasive treatments are avoided.

Normal tissue is not removed since it’s possible to see differences better and much more clearly under high magnification. By using these surgical microscopes during operations, dental restorations are incredibly precise and have better longevity. Microscopic dentistry enables an exceptional degree of precision in dental procedures.
